About The Artist

Handmade jewellery inspired by the Cumbrian coastline.
All of our jewellery is made from scratch by Alex in our small workshop in Maryport, Cumbria. Every piece begins with raw materials — recycled sterling silver, sea glass, sea pottery, shells, gemstones, birthstones or reworked antique silver — and is shaped, soldered and polished entirely by hand.
Alex began silversmithing in 2022 after creating Philippa’s engagement ring, which sparked a deep interest in designing and making jewellery from the ground up. What started as a single piece quickly grows into a shared passion and today we work together, combining silversmithing and beachcombing to create meaningful pieces inspired by the landscape around us.
Much of our work is influenced by the coastline we live beside: its colours, textures and the treasures it reveals. Each commission is crafted with care, using natural materials collected locally or repurposed from antique silver, giving every piece its own story and character.
Thank you for supporting small makers and handmade craft. It means a great deal to us, and we’re always happy to chat if you have an idea you’d like to bring to life.
